Starting at the end of August through fall and winter, the sun sets before 8:00 PM. That means you can enjoy watching the sunset from the best vantage point in Sevierville. At the top of SkyLand Ranch is Legacy Lookout, which is 350 feet above the Parkway and provides 360-degree views of the Smoky Mountain area. If you ride down during the last hour before sunset, you can take in breathtaking views of the Smoky Mountains basked in golden light. After dark, you can see the city lights of Pigeon Forge and Sevierville from a unique angle above the Parkway. This is the longest mountain coaster in the Southeast, offering riders an 8+ minute ride. The Wild Stallion stays open a few hours after the rest of SkyLand Ranch closes, meaning it’s open well after dark. You can ride The Wild Stallion around sunset to enjoy breathtaking sights as you meander 1.25 miles up and down the hillside at your own pace. Or, take in the city lights of Sevierville and Pigeon Forge as you make your way downhill after the sun goes down.
